International Exchange

Researchers at RIIS play important roles in promoting a project entitled “Development of an international research network to realize superconductive materials with high critical temperatures” (October 1, 2015 – March 31, 2018) under the “Program for Advancing Strategic International Networks to Accelerate the Circulation of Talented Researchers” initiated by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). In this project, we set the challenge of developing higher Tc superconductors, bulk and interfacial, as well as superconductors that function under extreme conditions, through international collaborations with outstanding research groups in Europe (Prof. N.L. Saini’s group at Sapienza University of Rome, Prof. J.-M. Triscone’s group at the University of Geneva, Dr. G. Knebel’s group at CEA/INAC, and Dr. J.-M. Kiat’s group at the Ecole Centrale Paris), by exchanging young researchers.
